Had a very relaxing time. Breeze on the porch kept the July Texas afternoons comfortable. Had one of the best afternoon naps that I have had in a very long time. Surrounded by wildlife. Bring a camera, sit still and the deer and turkeys will get really close. Super comfy bed. Fresh coffee beans to grind. Provisions in the kitchen. Random uplifting spiritual sayings in the cabin. Really good sounding radio tuned to a good Texas music station. Stars, stars, stars. Stayed with a family friend couple lodging in the other cabin and we didn't hear them. The cabin is from the 1800s but was very comfortable without losing its integrity and charm. Already planning a return trip for the fall. My wife doesn't want to leave. Me either.
We love the cabins and the open air
Have been to this wonderful place twice. Once with my husband and once with my friend of 50 years. Quiet, peaceful and simply put, we had a great relaxing weekend. Both times were very special.
